New Site Answers Sarasota Senior’s Questions

Sunday, April 1st, 2012

For the last few years, Sarasota County Florida, the nation's oldest in terms of residents' average age, has been working hard to establish itself as the model city for aging in America. The effort has been spearheaded by SCOPE (Sarasota Openly Plans for Excellence)

As publisher of Sarasota County Aging Network's Senior Services Directory and related web site (Scandirectory.org), I have been part of a subgroup of the SCOPE effort concentrating on information and referral. One of our surprise discoveries (and somewhat chagrinning to someone in the information business) was the realization that many seniors and their families still don't know how to find and use resources available to them.

To help improve that, I've started a new web site, SeniorHelpSarasota.com, to bring together information, news, knowledge, advice and other resources in one easy to read, easy to use destination.

Please visit our site and let us know what you think.
